Teeth Marathon

I was doing a marathon of sorts, but it was more like the Tough Mudder (obstacle course kind of). I was with my ex-boyfriend's roommate, and some other people I don't know. At some point we were in a horse stable and riding around (I'm reading a book with horses in it)... fast forward to the end of the dream and I've realized that a tooth has fallen out. And then I realize another one (bottom front) has too! AND ANOTHER! I lost three teeth last night, and I was so very happy when I woke up and had them all.

RELIEF!

What do teeth dreams REALLY mean?!

Ebony and Ivory

Two nights ago:
I had very bizarre dreams that were so extensive I can't remember all of them... but i remember the end I was in a room with several people and they were talking about couple Halloween costumes (cause: Happy Endings TV show reference from Wednesday's episode), and there was this black guy in the room and we started ballroom dancing and he sort of chuckled, looked at our hands together and said, "We could be..." and I realized what he was gonna say and started singing "Ebony and Ivory". While fantastic on its own, the ebony and ivory part was caused by a reminiscent moment looking through an album of pictures from college, and I came across this one (see comment underneath): https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=829225064239&set=a.829218168059.2460462.7803949&type=3&theater

Three In One... Short Amount of Time

So I went to sleep at 10pm last night, and when my phone went off at 11:30pm I'd already had THREE dreams.

1. My favorite carnival ride growing up was the Scrambler. If you don't know what it is, I'm sorry for you. Just know that dizziness was most certainly NOT involved. It was the best. Anyway, both my sister and I loved it. In this dream, we'd discovered a Scrambler that was made out of elementary school chairs. That is the end of that dream. (Please keep in mind I had three dreams in 90 minutes)

2. I was at my friend Meghan's house in Arlington (she does not live in Arlington), and it seemed to be the house she grew up in. I was there with her and my brother and they had to leave to go to some bar to get something for a gig. I was going to stay, but then realized I needed to leave. I texted Meghan to ask if I needed to lock her front door; but I left the house (and the door unlocked) before she could respond. Sorry if somebody broke in.

3. I'd gotten off a plane and was along this very futuristic and snazzy walkway. There were really cool lights lining it, and I took a picture of them on my phone. Somebody told me we were in London. I had no idea I'd gotten off a plane in London. I was also walking next to this very snooty woman, who then was all of a sudden Lauren (Lauren, do not read into that, you are not snooty. :D). We walked to the end of said walkway and came to a very fancy conference room that had a meeting going on. In the meeting were tween celebrities, one of whom was Taylor Swift.

Aaaaaaaaaand scene.

Caribbean Beach

My brain has been busy, good gracious.

Last night I was on a very gray beach with a few people and the tide was low. And when I say low, I mean that when I told everyone I was going down to the water, it involved about a mile trek with stairs involved. On the way down said stairs, I passed my ex-boyfriend and his buddies. Carry on. So I'm finally getting closer to the water and it turns into a tropical beach. Turquoise water, flowers everywhere, coconuts... and hundreds of people in the water. I'm tentative, but I get in the water. IMMEDIATELY I am stung by a jellyfish and then my vision is blurry and I'm trying to find my way around. There's a fuzzy hut (in the water of course) and somebody put my hand into this bucket that has something in it that feels like thousands of little nails going into my hand. DAMNIT! That happens one more time. Thanks for nothin, crazy Caribbean beach.

My brain then fast forwards slash rewinds and does a How I Met Your Mother (tv show)-like do-over of "what really happened." What actually happened was I had eaten a poisonous scallop and that's what was making my vision blurry and making me crazy in the water- the person at the hut who put my hand in the bucket of stingy-ness was actually giving me a special antidote for the poisonous scallop.

Discuss.

Tom's Birthday... on a ranch... in Italy.

A lot of my dream was unfortunately with many of the Jersey Shore cast members... but thank goodness I don't remember much of that. The part I do remember is the backyard/ranch-on-the-Italian-countryside barbeque we were having for our friend Tom's birthday.

There was a big pool, everyone was around hanging out (the only people I knew were Lauren and Chris)- everyone else was random and unknown. People had ordered food, there was a grill, it was a lovely time. I saw a lot of Styrofoam containers around so I started walking around to clean them up. I walked by Chris' plate and saw he had some chicken left on it, but it was raw. I said, "Chris, this sucks! You should just throw that on the grill, it's still hot!" I walked over to the trashcan to throw something out as I said that. He made a joke but then decided maybe he would use the grill. I walked back over to his plate (he was now gone) to get the chicken and looked down and it started moving on its own. It was the shape of a slug and started crawling off the plate! It was GROSS! I freaked out and decided to punch it. At this point it was the shape of a tiny cactus. I punched it Scott Pilgrim style and it exploded into a billion pieces and everyone around cheered for me.

The end.

California Dreamin (ha.ha.ha)

Preface: I visited my friends in California in June and the weather was just about the worst three days of weather they'd had all year. Other than the company, the trip was a bit of a bust. I have a do-over trip in 2 weeks!

Last night's dream: I got to Cali and it was pouring. Not a great start. My friends actually looked like themselves in my dream which never happens... people are usually bizarre morphs of themselves, or nothing like themselves at all. At one point I was in the bathroom somewhere and Dave looked in the window (thanks, creep), but there was a curtain in the way... but he was looking around and then saw my face and waved realizing it was me. Our friend Patti was also in the dream and she was in a band and had a show the night after I got there. That makes no sense. We were staying at this camp ground of sorts, but it was all houses. And when we showed up they said they were kicking everyone off the compound because the power was out. As I was trying to figure out why we were allowed to stay, I realized the power was back on, so of course we got to stay.

We later went to go to a restaurant called "Eagle" (sidebar: there were a few failures in terms of food adventures on my last trip...) and Dave called ahead to make sure they had the ice cream cake we wanted (?). They said yes they're open, come on by. So we walked... in the rain (I was also angry that I didn't have my rain boots)... and got to Eagle and the door didn't open. We were up in arms since we'd JUST called. A woman carrying a baby walked past and tried to get in too, and the door didn't open. She leaned her head in and the top half of the glass door slid open and she yelled in to the people there that the door was locked. The owners hadn't unlocked it! Fools! The rest is... gone. Nothing happened after that. In reality, I'd like to make a plea to Mother Nature to keep the rain clouds fah fah away from San Francisco, California while I'm there. Thank you.

Save the whale!

Last night I was saving a small (size of a dog) orca whale with my dad. This whale could talk, and he was so adorable. He was very sad and just wanted to be helped. It's all a little bit fuzzy... but I do believe we set him free.

Then the dream transitioned to this very extensive obstacle course whose leader was yelling at me for not doing anything right. I was very anxious to get back to the cruise ship we'd started on. We had to get through lots of small spaces and walk carefully on small ledges, yikes.

I have recurring dreams about plane crashes and being on massive cruise ships. The plane crash is never actually a crash- I'm always on a plane that I realize has started spinning and I know it's going down, but I never freak out, I just accept that it's going down. But then it lands somewhere strange (like in the middle of a forest) and the adventure continues from there. The cruise ship dreams usually involve things going wrong, but there's always a part of it where I can feel how fast it's going. Intriguing!!
